The Cane River Creole
TAKING THE SHOT.
Welcome to this Cane River Creole’s corner of the world! I'm Michael Terry (Metoyer), a passionate musician, photographer, and engineer hailing from Southern Louisiana. The land of bayous and moss-draped oaks are a sanctuary that feeds my soul and fuels my creativity.
Photography has always been more than a hobby for me; it's a way of life. From the early morning mists rising off the swamps to the golden hues of a sunset over the marshes, every moment here tells a story waiting to be captured. My journey began with a simple camera and a love for the natural world, and it has blossomed into a lifelong pursuit of capturing the beauty that surrounds us all when we take a moment to look.
Although career and circumstance has taken me far from the banks of the Cane River, the quiet, simple life it represents has kept me grounded, focused, and at peace in a world gone mad. Behind the lens, I can capture the moments of stillness and reflection in a way that allows me to share the peace and beauty I experience.
Thank you for visiting and allowing me to share a piece of my life with you. I hope my work brings you as much joy and serenity as it has brought me. Feel free to browse, get in touch, or simply enjoy the view.
